May 2024: excuse note

oops

So, this month didn’t quite work. I knew I had to write the post early because I’m going to be camping in a field at a nerd festival at the end of the month. I started early and wrote about half of a follow-up post on single-character variable names (first part is here) and ended up more confused than I started. So that’s back in drafts and I’ve had to schedule this excuse note instead.
